Who can be a stall holder?
Stall holders will be local food producers or farmers adding value to their own produce. Local food producers will source as many and as much of their ingredients locally as possible and appropriate to their products.

There are a small number of stalls available for arts and crafts - again these will be made locally and ideally from locally produced or sourced materails.

If you want to take a stall please call one of the numbers on the 'Contact Us' page and talk to one of us. There is an application pack available from the organisers for anyone wishing to take a stall. Please click this link for a download of the stall holder pack (please note that you can only print the stallpack or view it using the navigation bars) to see if you are eligible or please click this link to go to our 'Contact Us' page.

Your application to take a stall on the market will be assessed by the group of organisers. We want to provide as wide range of produce to our shoppers as we can, but at the same time need to keep a balance so if you produce and sell something we already have a stall selling then, sorry, but you may be disappointed!! The decision of the organisers is final!

Please remember that all the orgainsers of the market are volunteers, so if you use the telephone numbers listed you may not get to speak to one of us straightaway, but do please be patient - we will do our best to contact you within 24 hours of your initial call.

Please do not just turn up expecting to get a stall, we do not accept any traders turning up on the day, and you WILL be turned away. But please do come to see us and the market on any market day.

We have reduced the fee for taking a stall to £10 for November and December, and our thanks to the team at BMBC for helping with this - the usual cost of taking a stall is £20. The stall fee is payable on the day of the market either by cash or cheque. We pay a fee to the owners of the market - Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council - and we thank them for helping us reduce the overall fee - the remainder we use for promotion and advertising. We reserve the right to change this fee at short notice.
